Pressurized Chamber Spray Testing
Blue Quality Services conducts pressurized chamber testing of installed conditions to determine the performance of pre-manufactured units as well as their installation into the wall system. Our experienced field personnel construct a chamber surrounding the testing condition and utilize specialized testing equipment to achieve industry standard testing protocols and deliver accurate results.
Chamber Testing is a commonly specified performance test for new construction and is often performed in conjunction with other spray testing methods. After constructing a customized pressure chamber,, we temporarily install it at the test location in the wall. Then, we create pressure differential across the assembly and deliver a uniform flow of water simulating wind driven rain.
- AAMA 502 – Field testing of newly installed fenestration products
- AAMA 503 – Field testing of newly installed store fronts, curtain walls, and sloped glazing
- ASTM E331 – Water penetration, uniform static air pressure difference
- ASTM E547 – Water penetration, cyclic static air pressure difference
- ASTM E1105 – Standard Test Method for Field Determination of Water Penetration of Installed Exterior Windows, Skylights, Doors, and Curtain Walls, by Uniform or Cyclic Static Air Pressure Difference
Our chamber testing services are performed as part of an overall site inspection scope of services or as a stand-alone testing service. Contact us to deterring the most appropriate protocol scope for you need.
