Infrared Thermography

In conjunction with Whole Building Air Leakage Testing, Infrared Thermography scanning is performed to further locate areas of air leakage. This non-destructive testing technique determines air leakage pathways in the building envelope and overall performance of the air barrier system and insulation.

Technicians performing the infrared diagnostic evaluations have been certified by The Infraspection Institute and have multiple years of experience performing infrared imaging on a variety of building types. Tests are performed in accordance with the most current American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards for thermographic testing including:

• ASTM C 1060
• ASTM E 1186 & ISO 6781
• ASTM C 1153

Our infrared thermographers have extensive experience with building enclosures and performance testing to achieve accurate diagnoses and make effective recommendations to the contractor in the event of failure and repair of the air barrier.
