Gables West Ave is a 1,100,000 square foot, seven-story Class A+ mixed-use complex comprised of 400 luxury residences, retail spaces, offices, and restaurants. Our client, Gables Residential, requested Blue Quality Services to be a vital part of their quality assurance team. Our services were focused on observing and verifying that the building and all of its systems and assemblies were designed, installed, and tested to meet the owner’s requirements. Blue Quality Services’ unbiased, quality assurance package helped to deliver a superior multifamily complex and ensured all involved parties correctly implemented the facility’s specifications.
During the pre-design phase, Blue Quality Services technicians reviewed the building’s enclosure concepts and followed up with a thorough review of the completed design, specifications, and detailing. We also reviewed shop drawings and material submittals of the exterior walls, roofing, and below grade and plaza waterproofing systems.
Throughout the construction phase, our technicians performed field quality inspections to verify conformance with the design and performed water and pressurized chamber testing, providing Gables Residential with a documented record of performance and to ensure installation met manufacturers specifications.
