Gables Uptown Trail is a 300,000 square foot, 7-story Class A+ complex located in Dallas, Texas. Our client, Gables Residential, requested Blue Quality Services to be a vital part of their quality assurance team. Our services were focused on observing and verifying that the building and all of its systems and assemblies were designed, installed, and tested to meet the owner’s requirements. Our Building Enclosure Quality Assurance Program helped to deliver a superior multifamily complex and ensured all involved parties correctly implemented the facility’s specifications.

During the pre-design phase, our consultants reviewed the building’s enclosure concepts and followed up with a thorough review of the completed design, specifications, and detailing. We were also asked to perform a structural design review, focusing on the constructability and operational performance of the building’ structural systems. Including design review services into our Building Enclosure Quality Assurance Program helps to identify issues that, if not addressed, could increase the risk of confusion, errors, delays, and cost escalation during construction.

Throughout the construction phase, our field services team performed field quality inspections to verify conformance with the design and provide the owner with a documented record of construction progress. During our site visits, we produce field reports describing both conformance and non-conformance issues, ensuring the owner has a well-rounded view of how construction is progressing.

Our team also attended waterproofing and window installation mockup meetings and performed pressurized chamber tests in accordance with AAMA testing standards to ensure window installation met specifications. Blue Quality Services is an AAMA Accredited Laboratory.
